Canadian Cities Rated Highly for Quality of Life

Each year, the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) releases a report called the Global Liveability Report. This report ranks 140 cities across the globe based on five categories related to the quality of life: education, stability, culture and environment, infrastructure, and healthcare. The team of professionals at Canadian Visa Expert can assist you in determining if you qualify for a visa in Canada.

According to the report, here are the top ten most livable cities in 2017 in order of rankings: (1) Melbourne, Australia; (2) Vienna, Austria; (3) Vancouver, Canada; (4) Toronto, Canada; (5) Adelaide, Australia and Calgary, Canada (tied for 5th place); (7) Perth, Australia; (8) Auckland, New Zealand; (9) Helsinki, Finland; and (10) Hamburg, Germany.

The three Canadian cities that ranked in the top ten are Vancouver, Toronto, and Calgary. The top five cities in the EIU list have changed during the last seven years. As an example, there is only a 0.1% difference between Melbourne, Australia and Vienna, Austria. The list for 2017 showed 44 cities getting bumped or promoted for various reasons including declining crime rates or economic instability. Contact Canadian Visa Expert so they can assess your information and determine the best visa option for you.

Several cities in the United States that were listed in the report have seen a decline in their scores because of unrest (for example, racial tensions). Countries within Europe have also dropped for different reasons, such as Brexit and the migration crisis.

The goal of Canadian Visa Expert is to make your Canadian immigration process as easy as possible by providing you with an expert assessment of the best visa option for you and your family. Our professional team stands ready to help you through the entire visa application process.
